Join the Carnival

Like most people, I’m constantly looking for ways to stay on top of current issues in my profession and the general business world at large.  So I was delighted to discover the blogsphere’s “carnival” format.  Essentially, a blog carnival is a compilation of blog posts connected by a common thread. Carnival topics that interest me include “Human Resources” and “Leadership”.  Carnivals are “hosted” by a blogger on his or her site.  The carnival host acts as an editor of sorts, requesting submissions of recent blog posts.  The best submissions are then posted, anthology style, on the host’s blog for all to see.

It’s a great way to get a summation of thoughts from a diverse group of writers.  As an added benefit, you can find new people to follow or connect with on social media sites.

Dan McCarthy, who writes the award-winning blog Great Leadership, recently invited me to submit a leadership blog post.  The post was accepted and appears in the September edition of the Leadership Carnival.  Check it out here to see what’s on the minds of leadership bloggers. It’s an honor to have been included.
