An excellent reminder for me this time of year – it’s the smallest things that bring the most joy. Every year, when we decorate for Christmas, the placement of “Santa Egg” brings on much discussion. Santa Egg is a revered decoration and we want to showcase him in a prominent, yet safe location.
This rustic decoration is one of my favorites. His minimalism reminds me to keep it simple. His sweet, welcoming face brings me pure joy every time my eyes land on those tiny black eyes and rosy red cheeks.

Wonderful thought for this and every season. My wife and I have hit that point in life where we are working to shed the overwhelming volume of “things” that we tend to collect through our lives and in particular, while raising children.
