A new site just launched called Human Resources Today. Human Resources Today curates content from many sources on the web regarding the people side of HR: employee engagement, leadership, corporate culture, employee retention and workplace communication. Independent blogs like Sharlyn Lauby’s HR Bartender, Steve Roesler’s All Things Workplace and Robin Schooling’s HR Schoolhouse are featured, along with multi-contributor sites such as TLNT. There’s also a smattering of content offered by HR vendors such as Halogen Software and Globoforce. Oh, and yours truly is part of the posse as well.
What makes this site interesting is that the featured content is based on social shares. The site uses an algorithm that tracks every blog’s social shares and then pushes that content to the “front page.” (See the photo above– The People Equation made the front page a couple of days ago.) And, with a bit of extra reading, you can also see additional articles related to the field of human resources development, whether or not they had lots of social shares.
The Association for Talent Development (ATD) is a partner with the site, so the focus will be on development, which is cool. For those of you looking to come to one site and see multiple perspectives on the people side of business, this will be a great site to bookmark. Or, you can subscribe and create preferences for a newsletter that will be tailored to your interests.
Disclosure: I receive no compensation for writing about or participating in Human Resources Today. Please know that I only share information that I believe will benefit my readership and this resource fits that bill.
