Today I’m hosting a meet-up based on the book Dare, Dream, Do by Whitney Johnson. When I first heard about the book, I wasn’t all that excited about discussing “dreams”. I’m a busy wife/mother/daughter/friend who runs a full-time consulting business and also does volunteer work.
Who has time to dream?
Whitney’s book has opened my eyes to the fact that I haven’t been dreaming. Actually, I prefer the word “aspire”. I haven’t been aspiring to dream bigger, do better, be more.
So that’s why I agreed to host a Dare, Dream, Do gathering. I figured if I’m actually say some of my aspirations out loud, where other people hear them, then I’ll be on the hook.
Scares me a little. (OK, a lot.) But that’s how we grow.
Besides, I have Whitney’s permission to do a little dating without full commitment, as you can see from the gorgeous artwork she sent to me.
So, dreams are you going to date? Go on, flirt a little!
Want a copy of that great “dating” quote, plus a book of 37 other full-color quotes, free to you, just for reading this post? Put a comment in the comments section— what do you aspire to do? I’ll send you a copy of Whitney’s Q Up Your Dreams e-book.

Hi Jen,
I’m stuck on the “do” part. I can dream a lot of things but when it comes to doing, well, I can’t seem to get started. I’d love a copy of the e-book to see if it can help me figure out why I can’t get moving!
Thanks for all you share with us.

Kare,
Welcome to The People Equation! I loved Whitney’s book too . . . and the chance that it gave me to talk with my friends and colleagues about “dreaming” in a new way.
